Creating and Maintaining a Sacred Space
Dear Dhamma friend,
Thank you sincerely for your enquiry regarding making donations to Anandagiri Forest Monastery. Your donation will go towards supporting Ajahn Achalo and the other resident monastics for their basic needs, as well as towards maintaining and developing the monastery infrastructure. Or if you prefer your donation can go towards supporting the monasteries Dhamma Outreach activities and/or Charitable Projects.
Anandagiri Monastery has an extensive website for spreading teachings free of charge. There is also a "Green" Forest regeneration project, currently re-foresting 50 acres of land, and a program offering scholarships to support the high school education of poor rural students locally.
The monastery bank accounts are based in Thailand, some oversees banks may not yet allow for e-banking services. Donations can however usually be made online. Click the ‘Pledge Support’ link (also below) for all of the relevant details.
An actual physical address of the bank or the monastery may also be required.

A Major Project in 2022
The Dana Sala Project
An important central building, where the meal is offered to the Sangha members each day, and where Dhamma teachings and discussions occur between the community and our visitors after the meal each day as well. In many respects the ‘Dana-Sala’space is like the physical heart of the monastery.
