The awareness of death and impermanence, combined with the humble acceptance of the fact that this event could occur for ourselves at any moment, is a wonderful way to help keep focused in our life and in our practice. This meditation was offered to a group who were sitting a retreat, however the broad examples given could be relevant to most of us at any time.
I hope that this meditation may be a gift that inspires both calm and focus in the present – wherever you find yourself now.
